Epsom and Ewell (/ ˈ juː əl, juː l /) is a local government district with borough status in Surrey, England, covering the towns of Epsom and Ewell. The borough lies just outside the administrative boundary of Greater London , but it is entirely within the M25 motorway which encircles London .

The A240 runs through three boroughs. Starting in Burgh Heath (Reigate and Banstead); most of its course is a direct route skirting Ewell and Stoneleigh (Epsom and Ewell) and its finishing section through Tolworth, Surbiton and the south of Kingston in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames the A240's Greater London borough.
It passes a crossroads with the Ewell terminus of the A232 and the B2200 before running past the North East Surrey College of Technology, then approaches a roundabout with Reigate Road and the A240.
