The BCA was co-founded in the 1966 by a number of cartoonists including Ken Mahood, who drew cartoons for Punch Magazine, The Times and the Daily Mail, [3] and John Jensen. A club's mascot is a cartoon character, often that of an animal, that symbolises some virtue boasted by the team. Most of them have proper names.
