The Congress Plaza Hotel is a hotel on Michigan Avenue in Chicago, across from Grant Park. Opened by R.H. Southgate just before the 1893 World’s Fair, [1] the hotel has hosted numerous US Presidents and a wide range of political and cultural events. In February 2014 following a multimillion-dollar renovation, Amalfi Hotel Chicago was rebranded as Kinzie Hotel. Managed by Portfolio Hotels & Resorts, it was designed by Gettys Design Group, Chicago, and pays tribute to John Kinzie, prominently recognized as Chicago's first civilian. The hotel has 210 guest rooms and 5 suites. [citation needed]
The Earl of Arundel was captured in Shropshire by the Queen's party. [4] On 17 November 1326 in Hereford, Arundel was beheaded by order of the Queen, leaving Alice de Warenne a widow. Her husband's estates and titles were forfeited to the Crown following Arundel's execution, but later restored to her eldest son, Richard FitzAlan. [citation needed]
