Petoskey State Park is a public recreation area covering 303 acres (123 ha) on Lake Michigan in Bear Creek Township, Emmet County, Michigan. The state park is located three miles (4.8 km) northeast of the city of Petoskey on Little Traverse Bay. It is surrounded by heavily vegetated sand dunes that are excellent examples of parabolic dunes. [4]

It is roughly bounded by Rose, Kalamazoo, State, Howard, Michigan, and Division streets. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Mineral Well Park is a two-acre section located on the east side of the Bear River, and running from the West Mitchell Street Bridge north to West Lake Street. The park is a level section of grassland with a few large trees and shrubs. It contains cement pathways leading to the park pavilion.
