Ralph L. Humphrey (March 17, 1908 – April 11, 1961) was a member of the Ohio House of Representatives, serving Ashtabula County from 1949 to 1952, and again in 1961. He also served in the Ohio Senate from 1953 to 1960. He died on April 11, 1961, while in office. [1]
McDonald was born in Ashtabula, Ohio, on June 30, 1858. After completing his education in Ohio's public school system, he studied civil engineering and surveying. He moved to Leadville, Colorado , in 1879, and started his career in mining.
Ashtabula (/ ˌ æ ʃ t ə ˈ b j uː l ə / ASH-tə-BYU-lə [7]) is the most populous city in Ashtabula County, Ohio, United States. It lies at the mouth of the Ashtabula River, on Lake Erie, 53 miles (85 km) northeast of Cleveland. At the 2020 census, the city had 17,975 people.
McKinnon relocated to Ashtabula, where he owned machine shops, was a member of the Board of Education and city council and was Mayor of Ashtabula. He married Octavia J. Porter on April 2, 1878, and had four sons and one daughter. [3] In 1880, he was the founder and head of the McKinnon Iron Works Company at Ashtabula Harbor. [2]
