Aadat" (Urdu: عادت transl. Habit!) is originally a song by the band Jal. It was sung by Atif Aslam and composed by Goher Mumtaz and Atif Aslam. [1] Later it was released in several different versions in Jal's album Aadat by Farhan Saeed and Atif Aslam's solo album Jal Pari. It was also used in the Bollywood films Kalyug and Chocolate.

Atif Aslam (Urdu: عاطف اسلم) is a Pakistani pop, rock, film and playback singer, songwriter, composer and an actor. His discography consists of three studio albums, songs from Pakistani films , Hindi films and Hollywood films , and many other popular songs.
Later on Atif, left the band because of some differences and he pursued his solo career, while Goher formed the new line-up and brought Farhan Saeed on vocals and Amir Sheraz (Shazi) on bass. With this new line-up, Jal released their first studio album Aadat in 2003. The album was a major hit in both Pakistan and India and won various awards.

Jal Pari (Urdu: جل پری, lit. 'Mermaid') is the debut studio album by Pakistani singer-songwriter Atif Aslam. It was released on 17 July 2004 through Sound Master records. [1] It was released sometime after he left the Pakistani rock group Jal. Two of his songs from the album were used by Bollywood film directors.
