The new (2009 model year) Suzuki TU250X is based on predecessor models known as the Volty and the Grasstracker, which were heavily based on the GN250. The Suzuki GN250 is a 4-valve single cylinder, air-cooled SOHC, 250 cc (15 cu in), 4 stroke standard motorcycle made by Suzuki Motors since 1982. [1] Its smaller cousin is known as GN125 with a smaller displacement (125cc) engine (production ended in 2021). GN250 is a cruiser-like street oriented popular learner's bike.
The original Suzuki VL 1500 Intruder LC had a 680 mm (26.7 in) seat height and an underseat 15.4 L; 3.40 imp gal (4.08 US gal) fuel tank. The engine is a slightly revised version of the air and oil cooled Suzuki Intruder 1400 motor: a 45° V-twin with offset crank pins to reduce vibrations.
The "Cobra" model name was dropped at the end of the first year of production, apparently after Suzuki received a letter from the Ford Motor Company's legal department.
