Bahamas' second album – Barchords, was released on February 7, 2012. [6] The album received nomination at the 2013 Juno Awards for the Adult Alternative Album of the Year . Jurvanen received a nomination for Songwriter of the Year for the tracks "Be My Witness", "Caught Me Thinking", and "Lost in the Light".

Macfarlane Gregory Anthony Mackey (18 February 1942 – 25 January 1997), known professionally as Tony McKay and Exuma, was a Bahamian musician, artist, playwright, and author best known for his music that blends folk, rock, carnival, junkanoo, calypso, reggae, and African music stylings.
They performed regularly in nightclubs and hotels in the Bahamas and self-released several albums. [ 2 ] In 1991, one of their tapes found its way to Atlantic Records A&R man Steve Greenberg , who signed the band to the Big Beat subsidiary, at the same time getting the band to change their name to the Baha Men.
