    Golden retriever skin problems ( with pictures) I hope I’m posting this in the right place. I have an 18 months old golden retriever and his skin problems started when he was about 6 months old. I took him to several vets and I’ve been told it might be allergies but I wasn’t able to rule out what food or irritant is causing it.

    For a long time now, Archer has had little scabs on his head and neck from time to time. I didn't think much of it because I assumed they were just the result of rough playing with my other dog. But today, I noticed they were especially bad on the top of his head. I cut off his hair so I could take a look at the skin.

If your breeder has been diligent in record keeping and knows the pedigrees intimately I would not be overly concerned.
