My new Cervelo Soloist came with aero-spoked Shimano wheels that were light and looked killer, but most likely would not have lasted a couple weeks on the PacNW roads I normally ride on. I ordered a more realistic set of everyday riding wheels from Bicycle Wheel Warehouse, based on the many positive ...

However, Wheel Builder claims a philosophy that ensures balanced tension, more true rim, etc. BWW claims good builds, but not as specific. One thing I am seeing in the forums is the need to re-tension wheels right out of the box to make ...

So, a carbon frame 105 for $1899 (Ship from US Warehouse SAVA HERD 6.0 Carbon Fiber Road Bike With Shimano 105 R7000 22S) doesn't sound unreasonable based on what I saw at the LBS in 2015. And an upgrade to Ultegra for $400 certainly seems reasonable. and upgrade to hydraulic disk brakes for another $600 also seems reasonable, (I think they use ...

Buying that bike for $500 might have been the most regrettable decision I have ever made with any moderately priced item.

After doing a considerable amount of research into MicroSHIFT, I decided to purchase the 10-Speed "BONA" group to replace my aging 9-Speed Ultegra set-up. There are plenty of opinions and valid information about MicroSHIFT, but I wanted to share my experiences too, just in case you are considering ...

The NuovoTech 450 had aluminum main tubes glued (bonded) to Cro-Moly steel seat and chainstays - the two reasons I wouldn't strip it are: 1 - might damage the glue. 2 - while clearcoated aluminum is OK, clearcoat is not enough to protect Cro-mo frum rusting. A magnet should show if part is aluminum and part is steel.
