Del Din hosts 173rd Brigade Headquarters, 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, the Brigade Support Battalion, and the Brigade Special Troops Battalion.
In July 2004, Lt. Col. Cynthia L. Fox was tasked with combining the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 51st Maintenance Battalion located in Mannheim, Germany and 501st Forward Support Company & Headquarters located in Vicenza, Italy to begin the activation of the 173rd Support Battalion. This was achieved on 16 March 2005.

The 3rd Missile Brigade "Aquileia" (Italian: 3ª Brigata Missili "Aquileia") was an artillery brigade of the Italian Army active between 1959 and 1991. The brigade was stationed in North-Eastern Italy and armed with missile and artillery systems capable of firing tactical nuclear weapons as part of Italy's participation in NATOs nuclear sharing programme.
