A velocity prediction program (VPP) is a computer program which solves for the performance of a sailing yacht in various wind conditions by balancing hull and sail forces. VPPs are used by yacht designers, boat builders, model testers, sailors, sailmakers, also America's Cup teams, to predict the performance of a sailboat before it has been built or prior to major modifications.
He reduced the time to produce a boat by as much as a month by working on a Tandy 2000 computer with yacht design software. [2] He collaborated with Apple to develop CAD Naval Design software (MacSurf, now MAXSURF). [2] This software could define the hull surface mathematically which saved hours on calculations. [2]

Safehull is a software package developed by the ABS in September 1993. It enables the design and evaluation of ship structures, thanks to finite element analysis tools. Possible analyses include: Dynamic load determination; Fatigue analysis [1] [2]
Navier Boat is an American maritime technology company based in the San Francisco Bay Area. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 3 ] It specializes in designing and manufacturing advanced electric boats and maritime systems, including hydrofoil and hull design, foil control systems , and autonomous navigation.
The hull design is flat aft, so the boat will plane. It has a fractional sloop rig with anodized aluminum spars and a loose-footed mainsail. The hull has a slightly raked stem, a vertical transom, a transom-hung, kick-up rudder controlled by a tiller and a retractable centerboard. The forward part of the boat is open, without a foredeck.
