Hubbard is a city in southeastern Trumbull County, Ohio, United States. It is formed from part of Hubbard Township, which was formed from the Connecticut Western Reserve. The population was 7,636 at the 2020 census. [5] [6] It is a suburb of the Youngstown–Warren metropolitan area.
While newer GM plants had a one-story design, the Norwood plant had a less efficient three-story design. Additionally, the plant could not expand outward as it was surrounded by an interstate highway to the north, railroad lines to the east and west, a business district on a US Highway to the west, and a residential neighborhood to the south.
Hubbard Township was established around 1806, deriving its name from Nehemiah Hubbard Jr., a Connecticut Land Company agent. [4] It is the only Hubbard Township statewide. [ 5 ]
