Harbor Freight/China loves the o-ring seal metric ports, and I had the same M22x1.75 hose/fittings that jpsp did. I decided to skin the cat a little differently on mine, and just went with a new hose and fittings.
A 1,000 probably would as well. I will try it in a few days with the 900 watt HF 2 stroke genny. Attempt to split a log at the high end of the splitter's capacity so it draws max current. Feb 26, 2017. #1. Hello everyone. I've done a bunch of searches not only here but also general google searches trying to get some certainty on this to no avail. I've got a Husky (Speeco) 22 ton log splitter with a Briggs 650 Series 190CC engine (Model 124T02-0121-B1) on it. After 7-8 years and many many hours of service it's time to replace it.

It is actually on sale now so it is about $50 less They are similar designs but I would be very leery of the HF one as it says in the description it will split logs as thick as 8 inches. I don't even split logs that small. Sounds to me like that thing is for making kindling.

I finally gave my Huskee 22 ton to my BIL and got a new TSC 30 ton. It was on sale from $1599 to $1399, and I wanted one that day. I only had 10 cord split this year, but I sold out two weeks before Thanksgiving, paid for the machine with a little left for me. Next year I hope to have 20 cord, and that's all for me.
This is the "5 ton" model from Harbor Freight. This is my 3rd year using it. For big jobs I tend to use my neighbours gas splitter. I've split what I estimate to be around 5 bush cords with this electric splitter. Anyways, it always worked fine until 3 weeks ago when it tripped the breaker on my GFI outlet in the middle of splitting.
The HF manual says, on page 4, that the splitter is not to be pulled on the road: "The wheel manufacturer states the maximum speed is not to exceed 40 MPH. The tires are DOT approved for public roads; however, this item is not for use on public roads or highways." But, then, on page 6, it says "Do not tow the Log Splitter at speeds above 45 MPH."
