Just above the crafting grid, there should be a picture of a book (or a few pictures I can't emeremem exactly and I'm away from my computer). If you click that, it should toggle the recipe book. Rollback Post to Revision RollBack
Remove the crafting guide book. Because discovering how to craft something is what makes Minecraft unique. Now because there are guides for showing how to craft things and worst of all you can just click the icon and automatically craft it, it makes Minecraft crafting system unoriginal.

I put together a basic crafting guide in MS Excel. In short, it uses a data validation drop-down list for the user to select the item to be crafted. Nine Index/Match functions then pull the required information into a 3x3 crafting table grid showing the ingredients and placement.
The Crafting guide is simple, you press "R" to see the recipe, and press "U" to see the use in craft. But the mouse need to stay on item to see the recipe/use. Or a icon for all craftings
Opened the craft table and left clicked the open area just to the left of the middle left square in the crafting grid and the recipe book appeared. Clicking the same spot again will make the recipe book to disappear. The "magic" spot when viewing inventory is directly below the middle vertical bar of the 2x2 crafting grid.

I can't find a good mod that shows crafting recipes for Minecraft version 1.8.9, I've looked at shapeless crafting, and Crafting guide and several others but can't seem to find a good mod that is compatible with my version of Minecraft, all of them are either a version lower, or higher, and it's really frustrating, can anyone assist me in this ...
