Hotel Kazakhstan (Kazakh: Қазақстан Қонақ Үйі, romanized: Qazaqstan Qonaq Üiı, Russian: Гостиница Казахстан) is the third-tallest building in the city of Almaty, Kazakhstan. It is 102 m (335 ft) tall, [1] with 26 floors. [2] It is situated in the southern center of Almaty.

The hill is accessible by road or the Köktöbe cable car, with the City Terminal located near Hotel Kazakhstan. The Almaty Tower, standing 372 meters tall, is located at the base of the hill and is visible from most parts of the city.
After the administrative reform in 1997, the last change happened since then took place in 1999, when parts of North Kazakhstan that originally belonged to Kokshetau region became part of Akmola. The district formed on 14 September 1936 as Stalin District by the decision of the Alma-Ata City Council of People's Deputies. On 10 March 1957, the district was renamed into the Soviet District which eventually became Almaly District on 12 December 1995. [4]
The preservation of the historical appearance of the object of history and culture of Almaty is separately emphasized. Reopening after restoration is scheduled for 2020. [2] Since September 2021, the resort is called "Swissotel Wellness Resort Alatau Almaty" and is a five-star hotel with 222 rooms, a restaurant, sports fields and a water park.
