Outagamie County (/ ˌ aʊ t ə ˈ ɡ eɪ m i / OW-tə-GAY-mee) [1] is a county in the Fox Cities region of the U.S. state of Wisconsin, in the northeast of the state. As of the 2020 census , the population was 190,705. [ 2 ]
The town was founded in 1848 as Greenville Station, and changed its name to Becker in 1879 (named after the first postmaster). Its name was changed to Greenville in 1896. [ 3 ] The town and unincorporated community were incorporated into the Village of Greenville in 2021.
The current designation of FM 407 has existed since May 23, 1951; the original routing was solely in Denton County, from FM 156 in Justin westward 2.6 mi (4.2 km). The route was extended to the Wise County line on August 20, 1952, and into Wise County to an intersection with US 81 on October 29, 1953.
