Schake (/ ˈ ʃ ɑː k i / SHAH-kee; [1] born 1962) is an American international relations scholar currently serving as Director of Foreign and Defense Policy at the American Enterprise Institute. She has held several high-level positions in the U.S. Defense and State Departments and on the National Security Council.
