I had more pain on my left side because I had more extensive work done there. The heating pad gave me some relief. Your body is still healing internally, so twinges, aches and pains can come and go. My surgeon blew me off so I chose to follow up with my internist and gynecologist.

Re: Sharp pain in my lower left side, almost 4 weeks post hysterectomy I had the same thing after robotic surgery, & my Dr told me it was most likely my colon. I'm now 6 weeks post surgery, & it's just now starting to fade away.

But this left side pain is getting worse, persisting all day. I feel that I am back to a regular bowel schedule and believe it is something else, but I am not sure what. It originally started when my bowels were moving and would go away after elimination in the morning. Over the last 3-4 days it has become persistent pain.
I have more pain on my left side and when I asked my Doctor about it he told me it was because that was the side the 2 large cysts were on. He said that there was more "work" done on that side. I am not sure what you had done, but hopefully this helps. Take Care.. Love, Donna
Re: Pain on left side since surgery I am much more sensitive on my right side where they removed my ovary and tube but my soreness is actually right over my tail bone which is where the incision ends and the soreness has been pretty constant but if I think of healing as a 6 weeks process I am not even half way there yet.
Severe Left Ovary Pain 5 weeks after partial Hysterectomy. Now what? I just had a LAVH on 1/27/10 and 4/22/10 I had my ovary removed because of left side pelvic pain because my ovary adhered to my sigmoid colon.
I’m 4 weeks post-surgery, robotic laparoscopic, I have six incisions, five small ones, one a bit longer on the left side. The healing has gone well. I have been careful, resting a lot, not lifting heavy things, etc… until last weekend.
The doctor left one ovary so that I wouldn't go into menopause (I'm 42 years old). For the past week, I've been having a sharp stabbing pain in my left side. It hurts when I move around, sneeze, breathe deeply (the only time it doesn't hurt is when I sit still). The pain is more annoying than anything else, but I am worried as to what's causing it.
