In 1913, the Robinson Grand Theater opened in downtown Clarksburg. The Robinson Grand, a pioneer in its era, became the thirteenth theater in the United States to be equipped with sound technology in 1927. During its golden age, it hosted a diverse array of events, including movies, plays, wedding receptions, and the Miss West Virginia Pageant. [1]
