Diamond Creek Road is graded in the river canyon adjacent to, and in some cases, within the streambed of Diamond Creek. Diamond Creek Road provides the only vehicular access to the Colorado River between Lees Ferry, 225 miles (362 km) upriver and Pierce Ferry, 52 miles (84 km) downriver. [2]

Pearce Ferry (sometimes misspelled Pierce Ferry) marks the boundary between Lake Mead and the Grand Canyon, where the low sandy banks around the lake give way to imposing, colorfully layered cliffs that enclose the Colorado River for the next 277 miles upstream.
Lees Ferry is located in northern Arizona, at the point where the Paria River joins the Colorado from the north. Lying in an open valley directly downstream from Glen Canyon and shortly above Marble Canyon (the uppermost section of the Grand Canyon), it is the only place in more than 260 miles (420 km) where the Colorado is not hemmed in by sheer canyon walls.

The Ocean-to-Ocean Bridge is a through truss bridge spanning the Colorado River in Yuma, Arizona.
