"The Anniversary Waltz" is the title of two medley singles released in 1990 by English rock band Status Quo. [1] The medleys consist of hit songs from the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. One of the songs performed, Dion 's " The Wanderer " had previously been covered by Status Quo in 1984.
The song was published in 1941. The title "Anniversary Waltz" is often mistakenly and confusingly used to refer to the entirely unrelated Anniversary Song, whose melody is a Romanian tune composed in 1880. Bing Crosby recorded the song on July 14, 1941, for Decca Records with Victor Young and His Orchestra. [1]
