First English Lutheran Church is a historic church in Mansfield, Ohio. The cornerstone of the church was laid in September 1891 and the building itself was dedicated for use in 1894. [ 2 ] The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

In 1923, when Archbishop Moeller was raising money for Mount St. Mary's Seminary of the West, St. Raphael's was wealthy enough to provide $10,000 for the school fund, amounting to fully 10% of the total.

In 1971, Rex Humbard began to build a 750 feet (230 m) [1] rotating tower restaurant, similar to Calgary Tower, at his Cathedral of Tomorrow complex, which was also slated to hold a transmission tower for his planned local TV station, WCOT-TV (Channel 55; the license was later used by current day (now former) CW affiliate WBNX-TV).
Shiloh Baptist Church was formed by a group of former members of the city's Second Baptist Church. Seeing the city's black population increasing rapidly, especially on the near east side, Second Baptist leaders asked for volunteers to leave and form a new church; these volunteers formed the entire charter membership of the new Shiloh church.
