The anime series is an adaptation of Akira Amano's manga series of the same name, which was first serialized in Japan's Weekly Shōnen Jump in 2004. [1] [2] The series centers around the life of Tsunayoshi "Tsuna" Sawada, a timid boy who learns he is the great-great-great grandson of the founder of the Italian Vongola Mafia family.
The Reborn! characters have also appeared in Akira Amano's early versions of the series that were meant for adult readers due to the violence that it contained. [6] Amano has referred to most of her characters as "weirdos", and mentioned that though she changed the storyline's style starting from volume 8 of the manga, she still kept adding the weirdo characters.
The series aired from July 8 to September 23, 2022 on Tokyo MX and BS11. [1] The opening theme song is "Ichiban Hikare! -Bucchigire-" (一番光れ!-ブッチギレ-) by Takanori Nishikawa, while the ending theme song is "Danzai Democracy" (断罪デモクラシー) by Jizō Sonzai name-less.
