The Gatlinburg Bypass (also known as Parkway Bypass or U.S. Route 441 Bypass) is a 3.6-mile-long (5.8 km) bypass road around the resort city of Gatlinburg in Sevier County, Tennessee, at the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
SR 73 Scenic was formerly a portion of SR 73, which was moved to US 321 when that route was extended to the area in 1981. [citation needed] Despite being signed Secondary on TDOT maps, in Gatlinburg, State Route 73 Scenic is signed Primary with the concurrency of US 441/ SR 71 throughout the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Newfound Gap Road then runs concurrently with SR 73 Scenic (Little River Road) before having an interchange with the Gatlinburg Bypass and entering the city of Gatlinburg, where US 441/SR 71/SR 73 Scenic leaves the park and becomes Great Smoky Mountains Parkway (Parkway), a four-lane undivided highway as it passes through the city.
The Great Smoky Mountains Parkway is a highway that travels 23.4 miles (37.7 km) between the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Interstate 40 (I-40) in Kodak, Tennessee, in East Tennessee.
In downtown, US 17 / US 92 turns east onto State Road 50 while US 441 continues north on the Orange Blossom Trail. North of downtown, US 441 crosses the tolled State Road 429 and western terminus of State Road 414 in Apopka before leaving the Orlando area. In Leesburg, midway between Orlando and Ocala, US 441 intersects U.S. Route 27.
