He previously served on the Monmouth County, New Jersey Board of Chosen Freeholders from 2005 until he took office in the Assembly.
Clifton B. Newman (born November 7, 1951) is an American attorney and former at-large judge of the South Carolina Circuit Court. He served as a judge since his election by the state's general assembly in 2000. In 2021, he was reelected to a final fourth term and retired in December 2023.

J. Deepan Chakkravarthy (born 3 June 1987) is an Indian chess player. He was awarded the title Grandmaster by FIDE in 2006. Born in Madurai, [1] Deepan Chakkravarthy won the Asian Junior Chess Championship in 2002. [2] In the 2004 edition he finished second to S. Arun Prasad on tiebreak score. [3]
