The Recall feature tracks web browsing to voice chats, creating a history stored on the computer that the user can search when they need to remember something they did, even months later.
The newly AI-enhanced Windows PCs will start rolling out on June 18 on computers made by Microsoft partners Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo and Samsung, as well as on Microsoft's Surface line of devices.
Protected mode is enable by default and may interfere with AOL Mail. If you're continuing to have trouble accessing mail, turn Protected Mode off: 1. Click Tools. 2. Click Internet Options. 3. Click the Security tab. 4. Deselect "Enable Protected Mode." 5. Restart Internet Explorer and sign in to AOL Mail again.
To send and receive AOL email via a 3rd party email client, you'll need to manually configure the servers and port numbers with supported AOL Mail info. If you access AOL Mail through mail.aol.com or the AOL app you don't need to make any changes to your settings.
Microsoft also says you’ll be able to disable Recall through the Windows settings menu and that the feature is automatically removed from PCs that are managed by administrators for work and school.
