Naruto Shippuden the Movie (Japanese: 劇場版 NARUTO （ ナルト ） 疾風伝, Hepburn: Gekijō-ban Naruto Shippūden) is an animated martial arts fantasy film and the fourth overall in the Naruto film series and the first Naruto: Shippuden film, directed by Hajime Kamegaki and written by Junki Takegami. The movie is set after episode 32.
As Naruto, with his shadow clones, rush towards Kakuzu, the latter flies over and nails the original Naruto. But this is revealed to be a shadow clone, and the real Naruto manages to lands a critical hit with a second Rasen Shuriken, destroying both of Kakuzu's replacement hearts. His comrades, especially Kakashi, watch on in awe.

Released on August 2, 2008, it was announced in Weekly Shōnen Jump along with the DVD release date for the first Shippuden film. The trailer for the second film aired with episodes 40 and 41, and again with episode 66 and 67. In episodes 70 and 73 the opening sequence was replaced with footage from the film.
