The World of Ajax is a museum and stadium tour dedicated to AFC Ajax' club history in Amsterdam in the Netherlands. The museum, located at the Johan Cruyff Arena , was opened on 14 August 1996 and is open daily for tours.
The club was founded in Amsterdam on 18 March 1900 by Floris Stempel, Carel Reeser and Han Dade, the second incarnation after a short-lived previous attempt—as Football Club Ajax—in 1894. [7] The club was named after the mythological hero Ajax, a Greek who fought in the Trojan War against Troy.
On 24 September 2011, [1] Ajax Amsterdam opened the Ajax Experience as an attempt to bring the World of Ajax tour closer to Amsterdam-Centrum.Designed by Sid Lee and Gsmprjct°, the Ajax Experience was an interactive experience which shared the philosophy of the club with the public, as well as bring the audience closer to the likes of Johan Cruijff, Marco van Basten or Wesley Sneijder.

AFC Ajax Amateurs or Ajax Zaterdag (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈaːjɑk(s) ˈsaːtərdɑx]; English: "Ajax Saturday") is a Dutch amateur football club and the amateur team of the professional club Ajax from Amsterdam. They compete in the Vierde Divisie since 2022–23, playing their home matches at the Sportpark De Toekomst training grounds.
