The Surfaris are an American surf music band formed in Glendora, California, in 1962. [1] [2] They are best known for two songs that hit the charts in the Los Angeles area, and nationally by May 1963: "Surfer Joe" and "Wipe Out", which were the A-side and B-side of the same 45 rpm single.
In many respects, it is a substantially different album. The track list is substantially different (though most of the same tracks are present). The cover art for these releases features a simple portrait of the artist. This album was released in the UK and Europe in 2003, using the same cover art but with a different track list.
The group continued their successful career, recording several albums a year, shocking by today's "one album every two years" pattern. They also had their own TV show called "Surf's Up!" hosted by Stan Richards in 1965-66 [ 7 ] and appeared frequently on another dance show called " Hollywood A Go-Go " hosted by Sam Riddle in 1965–66.
