Tukun Perak Island is also known as Fairway Rock or Fairway White Rock. There are several boat rental operators that provide fishing trip to Tukun Perak Island. Common fish caught by anglers sought are Giant Trevally, Blue Fin Tuna, Yellow Fin Tuna, Rainbow Runner, Sail Fish, Marlin, Dorado, Coral Trout, Red Snaper, Giant Grouper and others.
It is administered as part of Perak, Malaysia. The island is granitic, heavily forested, and has a rocky shoreline. [1] [2] Jarak has been described as being 8 hectares (20 acres) in size. [2] The island is home to an endemic species of gecko, the Jarak Island bent-toed gecko (Cyrtodactylus jarakensis). [3]
Kota Bharu is a small town in Kampar District, Perak, Malaysia. It is a very small railway town with a police station, a community clinic and a shop, plus a few abandoned shophouses. It is approximately 7 kilometers away from the largest town of Mukim Teja, Gopeng. There is only one known single road connecting Kota Bharu to Gopeng.
Since 1987, the area had been used for vegetable plantation. In 2002, Perak Chief Minister Tajol Rosli Mohd Ghazali suggested the establishment of the Perak State Herb Park.
