The highway is connected to Kuala Lumpur Middle Ring Road 2 for access to Batu Caves and Gombak. Near Karak Expressway, it provides access to the east coast area of Malaysia. There is no dedicated highway leading from the city centre to the northern areas such as Batu Caves However, Jalan Kuching is the main road from the city to the northern area.
