Sam Bahadur (stylised as SAMबहादुर ; lit. transl. Sam the Brave) is a 2023 Indian Hindi-language biographical war drama film based on the life of India's first field marshal, Sam Manekshaw. [6]
Kesari (transl. Saffron) is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language war film starring Akshay Kumar and directed by Anurag Singh. [3] It follows the events leading to the Battle of Saragarhi, a battle between 21 Sikh [4] soldiers of the 36th Sikh Regiment of the British Indian Army and 10,000 Afridi and Orakzai Pashtun tribesmen in 1897.
The first chapter opens up with an ambush in June 2015 on the convoy of the Indian Army troops in Chandel, Manipur by NSCN(K) militants. In retaliation, Major Vihaan Singh Shergill, a Para SF officer and his unit, including his brother-in-law, Major Karan Kashyap, infiltrate and attack the Northeastern militants and also kill the key leader responsible for the ambush.
Lakshya (translation: Aim) is a 2004 Indian coming-of-age war drama film directed by Farhan Akhtar, written by his father Javed Akhtar and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani.The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, and Preity Zinta in lead roles.
