The U.S. Immigrant Station and Assay Office Seattle is a four-story neoclassical style building located at 815 Airport Way South in Seattle, Washington.It opened in 1932 as an immigration detention and processing station and assay office.
Evidence of continuous human habitation of a village site within the current city limits of the city of Seattle dating back to the 6th century C.E. exists on the Port of Seattle Terminal 107 site, located on the Western bank of the Duwamish River. [1] The site was abandoned in approximately 1800, for unknown reasons.

The site of the Hoge building, at 705 Second Avenue, was the location of the cabin of Carson Boren, reputedly the first white man's house in what was to become Seattle.
