The straight-five engine (also referred to as an inline-five engine; abbreviated I5 or L5) is a piston engine with five cylinders mounted in a straight line along the crankshaft. Although less common than straight-four engines and straight-six engines , straight-five engine designs have been used by automobile manufacturers since the late 1930s.
In 1933, Bialetti founded the brand and invented Moka pots. The company was later operated by his son Renato Bialetti. Moka pots require periodic replacement of the rubber seal, a scouring of its removable filter, and a check that the safety release valve is not blocked. All parts of the pot should be scrubbed by hand using a mild detergent, as aluminium moka pots are not dishwasher safe. [12] [13] [14]
