For years in HTML, a table has always forced an implicit line-wrap (or line-break). So, to keep a table within a line, the workaround is to put the whole line into a table, then embed a table within a table, using the outer table to force the whole line to stay together. The caption for the first table has <br /> tags as a small hack to nudge all three tables to have equally high (in line numbers) captions, for the appearance of tidiness. The three tables I have placed in columns (assuming a wide enough display) using {{Columns-start}}, which should responsively collapse for narrower displays (like phones).
