According to the United States Census Bureau , Clinton Township has a total area of 28.37 square miles (73.5 km 2 ), of which 28.03 square miles (72.6 km 2 ) are land and 0.35 square miles (0.91 km 2 ), or 1.22%, are water. The township is partially bordered to the west by the city of Mount Clemens, the Macomb county seat. According to the U.S. Census Bureau , the township has a total area of 23.76 square miles (61.5 km 2 ), of which 14.25 square miles (36.9 km 2 ) are land and 9.51 square miles (24.6 km 2 ), or 40.03%, are water.
Schertz borders Cibolo to the north and west. The city of New Braunfels is 14 miles (23 km) to the northeast, and downtown San Antonio is 21 miles (34 km) to the southwest. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Cibolo has a total area of 6.6 square miles (17.0 km 2), of which 0.004 square miles (0.01 km 2), or 0.07%, is covered by water. [4]
