Unlike Poison's Greatest Hits: 1986-1996, this compilation focuses on the group's power ballads and blues-oriented songs, and also includes acoustic recordings of "Something to Believe In" and "Stand".
The album titled track and single "(Flesh & Blood) Sacrifice" featured a music video which was initially banned from MTV due to its explicit nature and was eventually released on this compilation. The video compilation was re-released on DVD in 2001 as part of Poison Greatest Video Hits, which received US Gold certification in 2003. [1]
The album's initial cover art was controversial, as it depicted a demonic female figure with an obscenely long tongue. A censored version of the cover followed, focusing on the figure's eyes. In 1989, the band released their first video album titled Sight for Sore Ears which featured all their music videos from the first two albums. [17]
