BlackAgnes. Most other commemoratives, save the Model 25-3, were simply roll-marked versions of regular production guns, e.g. Model 19s. The difference with the Model 26-1 is that it was a brand-new model, and was made in a configuration many of us would love--a 5" Model 27 in .45 Colt!

All of the 67's no dash must not have had stainless rear sites, because as stated in the SCSW-3rd Edition, the Model 67 was introduced in 1972 and the first production change to 67-1 was in 1977 when a change was made to move the gas ring from the yoke to the cylinder.
All. I had a pre 34, a 34, and a 34-1 at one time. All great revolvers, for sure. I agree with you about the need for a thread on the S&W Mod. 34-1 revolvers. they are neat little revolvers. Your display stone, really "Flops My Mop", as it is my birth stone. I have two Mod. 34-1 revolvers, 1. A round butt snub, shown in a home brewed nylon case.
Welcome to the forums from the Wiregrass! That's a beautiful example of a .32 Single Action, Model 1-1/2! It was likely made around 1890. S&W made 97574 between 1878 and 1892. It was designed for black powder but can also shoot modern smokeless .32 S&W cartridges. The black powder cartridge produced a muzzle velocity of around 850 fps so any ...

Hello, I'm new to the forum and am a first time smith buyer. I just purchased a model 14-1 38 special and am curious as to whether the grips are original or aftermarket. I was looking all over the internet and could not find them. They seem to be not like the square diamonds as on most other guns. 2.

I stopped by a LGS today and they had a 22A with a round, fluted, stainless steel 5.5 inch barrel, a polished slide, and brown laminate factory target grips. Definitely the nicest 22A I have handled. The factory website does not show this model.
