Arkansas Highway 226 (AR 226) is a designation for two state highways in northeast Arkansas. The main segment of 25.28 miles (40.68 km) runs east from Highway 367 near Swifton to Interstate 555 (I-555) in Jonesboro. Much of this route in the eastern segment is concurrent with U.S. Route 78 (US 78).

The I-555 route was approved on January 10, 2001, consisting of a widened section of US 63 between Turrell to Jonesboro to Interstate Highway standards. A few mainline bridges between Marked Tree and Turrell are from original two-lane US 63 and are narrower than current standards, but I-530 was approved in 1999 despite having a similar issue.

Jonesboro Economical Transit System, better known as JETS, is the public transportation system in Jonesboro, the largest city in northeastern Arkansas. There are three scheduled bus routes and paratransit service is provided for individuals who cannot use the regular fixed-route bus service. [2] JETS is a member of the Arkansas Transit Association.
