    The C6 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 has a small block V-8 called the LS7. This 7 liter, 7008 cc engine develops 505 horsepower/377 kW. The engine has a “dry sump” oil delivery system, whose purpose is to make sure the Vette engine is properly lubricated at high acceleration. This configuration also allows the engine to be situated low in the chassis.

    C6 of Year Finalist (performance mods) 2019. Oil pan bolts are 18 lb ft, except for the 2 at the rear and those are 106 lb in. If you don't have an inch torque wrench, just use 9 lb ft. When equipped with the optional NPP exhaust system, LS3 is rated 436 horsepower at 5,900 rpm. LS3 was rated using the updated SAE J1349 procedure and then certified under SAE J2723.
