Official website. The Asus ROG Ally is a handheld gaming computer developed and manufactured by Asus as part of their Republic of Gamers (ROG) brand. Released on June 13, 2023, the device competes with Valve 's Steam Deck. The ROG Ally runs the Windows 11 operating system and uses an AMD Zen 4 processor called the AMD Z1 and Z1 Extreme.
In January 2022, Asus announced the ROG Flow Z13 during ROG's CES 2022 launch event. Equipped with the high-performance Intel's Core i9 processor and Nvidia's GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphic performance, making the biggest innovation breakthroughs in tablet markets. It is the world's first RTX 30 series computer in tablet form factor.
Asus encourages and supports this use and advertises several routers as particularly suitable for DD-WRT [1] including especially the RT-N16 gigabit router. See details on compatibility below. The RT-N13U/B, RT-N12, RT-N10+, WL-520GU and WL-520GC are also advertised as DD-WRT compatible though do not ship with this operating system.
