In 1933, when his father was still settling into the presidency, Elliott caused a bit of media scandal after he had been invited in March to attend the Fort Worth Stock Show where he was introduced to Ruth Goggins.

    This a beautiful late Queen Anne style Victorian. It's design is so distinctive, I've wondered if it was not a planbook house pattern from George Franklin Barber or one of his mail-order architectural contemporaries. I've admired it since the late 1980's as well as the little pocket neighborhood surrounding it.
