One Pace is amazing indeed. I love One Piece but I had to drop the anime during Dressrosa because of how garbage it was, but once I picked up One Pace's Dressrosa, I find myself enjoying the anime immensely. I don't know about first time viewers but if anyone plan on rewatching the series, I would definitely recommend One Pace.
We are a subreddit dedicated to talking about ONE PIECE Spoilers. The ONE PIECE fanbase on Reddit is massive and we have many related subs: r/OnePiece is the main sub with over 2 million members, most which are still catching up to the series. Their spoiler posts attract a lot of attention but they are very restricted there.
There's no other anime that can compare to One Piece. That isn't to say that it's the best and that other manga aren't unique in their own ways, but One Piece just does things that you will probably never see in anything else. Wait until y’all realize some of the best moments in the series (like the walk to Arlong Park), or all of the Wano additions (which were skipped or offscreened in the manga ...
The thing is, One Piece really picks up only around ep 450. Not that everything that comes before is boring, it isn't don't get me wrong. Oda has built a huge world and to build a world like that without excessive lore dump episodes you have to tell the story slowly.
I watched one piece and currently i only read new manga chapters; then decided to rewatch it since I forgot a lot of events etc, got to ep200 and decided to drop the anime and continue from the manga so I bought every volume after ep200 lol now i read manga and watch specific scenes that I want to watch animated:)
