Jan 17, 2018. #14. In the past he’s had a CE-5, CH-1, MXR Flanger and Rotovibe in the rack/on the floor. I’ve used Chorus, Flanger and Phaser and all can be in the ballpark. I too am embarrassed that I can’t identify exactly what pedal is being used on the track as there weren’t too terrible many options then.
How can you best simulate the intro to AiC Rooster intro using the Mobius? Currently I can get close using Chorus and Phase patches with my M9, but I know Mobius doesn't do 2 effects at a time. Related question : Assuming you have an expression pedal, can you simulate a Dunlup Rotovibe with...

I would like to change the custombucker in the bridge of Les Paul Custom. I am in between the A5 and A8 version of the same pickup (Arcane inc. Triple Clone vs Triple 8). They are PAF style pickups with 42awq with similar resistance levels around 9.25k. Generally playing hard rock/metal (Dio, Alice in Chains, Tool, Mastodon etc.)
May 4, 2017. #5. I had a cherry 290 for a bit last summer. The quality of the build was unparalleled, and sonically it was a very nice instrument. However I didn't bond with the feel of it for some reason; I found the neck seemed odd, perhaps wider than my Gibsons and I couldn't maintain any personal interest in the guitar from a playing ...
Thank God for the 30 day exchange policy Dimarzio has. So I'm not too experienced with Dimarzio pickups and am looking for a good hard rock, metal, and blues pickup in the bridge and neck. Need the neck to be great clean with plenty of articulation, bass, not piercing high, and medium mids, and with plenty of output for flaming leads.

What I'm looking to have with the Explorer is open, responsive sounds. Bright and airy for the neck for fingerpicking cleans to rowdy blues. A bit hotter and cutting for the bridge. I shoot for Led Zep, AC/DC, STP type tones, getting into harder Alice in Chains, Tool, Metallica type stuff.

But an EQ can also be used to alter one's tone, in the same way other pedals are used. EQ can be used as an alternate voicing for your rig, much like having a 2 channel amp, a 2 amp setup, or 2 OD pedals. And many amps offer very limited EQ options. And of course, EQ's can be used as versatile boosts and buffers.
