Per SC Code Ann. § 40-57-110(B), a licensee may place a license on inactive status. Inactive status licenses are to be renewed in the same manner as active licenses and are prohibited from engaging in the practice of real estate or property management (SC Code Ann. §§ 40-57-20 and 40-57-780).
