The Kingston Canadian Film Festival (abbreviated as KCFF) is an all-Canadian film festival held in Kingston, Ontario. Since 2001, a week-long festival has been held annually early winter, with the 2025 festival taking place from February 26th to March 2nd, 2025.
2025 in film is an overview of events, including award ceremonies, festivals, a list of country- and genre-specific lists of films released, and notable deaths.Shochiku and Gaumont will celebrate their 130th anniversaries; 20th Century Studios and Republic Pictures will celebrate their 90th anniversaries; and Studio Ghibli will celebrate its 40th anniversary.
A variety of genre-specific, regional and specialty film festivals take place throughout the year, with important festivals in this class including Toronto's Hot Docs and Vancouver's DOXA for documentary films, Toronto's Inside Out for LGBT-themed films, Montreal's Fantasia for horror, science fiction and thriller genre films, and the Ottawa International Animation Festival for animated films.
