Nuwakot Palace is a palace built by Nepal's first king Prithvi Narayan Shah in the 18th century and is located in Nuwakot, Bidur Municipality. [1] [2] The palace is currently being restored after the April 2015 Nepal earthquake which devastated the complex. [1] [2] Nuwakot Palace is currently listed as a UNESCO tentative site since 2008. Rautbesi is a village development committee in Nuwakot District in the Bagmati Zone of central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 3049 people living in 597 individual households.
