Yates Ford Road was known as early as 1716, for there are records that, on December 7, 1716, Lady Catherine Fairfax granted Wansford Arrington 335 acres (1.36 km 2). One of the boundaries was described as "land along Bull Run from just north of Yates Ford Road to south along Bull Run to a peninsula". [ 6 ]
