Hurt my shoulder during incline dumbbell bench press. I was doing 3 sets of 10 reps for the incline bench press (16 kg per hand) with dumbbells and on the last set i asked a guy to stop me since i knew i would barely make it. On the 5th rep I had no energy left and i lost all power and dropped the dumbbells, but before i dropped them i held on ...
incline dumbbell press just wondering, when I'm doing incline dumbbell press I'm doing 10 reps with good form easily with the weight I'm using at the moment. However, I can't put them up (above my head) all by myself for the very first rep so I always have someone spot/help me get them up first.
Rep Power: 555. May sound so intelligent that its unbelievable, but the more angles you press at (from 0 to 180 ) the better. This is to say: Military press is good. Incline press is good. Flat bench is good. Decline bench is good. Dips are good. Follow my quest for 100,000 pull ups this year.
What I found works for me is one of two things: 1. change your angle slightly (ex. a little lower or a little higher starting point), or 2. test your range of motion by going til the point where it pops. If it is lower than you need to go, then adjust your ROM so you are not getting to the "popping point." For me, I had to change from incline ...
Dumbells for me, if you have bad shoulders, barbell is easier on them. i'd say both of them, just switch them up weekly or do them both in the same workout. remember that they work the muscle differently so why not just do them both. with the db's you can add that extra squeeze at the top and you're not restricted to one line of motion. so one ...

Yes that adds up to 110%, because that's what you should be giving it. Change the inside, and the physique will follow. 09-12-2007, 01:08 PM #7. hulkinout.
Okay, what is the ideal angle for incline dumbbell press? I have heard reliable sources say everything from 20 degrees to 65 degrees. I was thinking about trying to do 2 sets at 25-30 degrees, 2 at 40 degrees and 2 at 55-60 degrees though I am worried this won't pump my chest as much as it would staying and concentrating at one angle.
Rep Power: 0. yes for sure, yesterday was chest day for me and i excluded the flys and just did more dumbbell chest presses and my chest was not sore etc...just goes to prove to me that adding the flys to my chest routine would 'finish' my chest workout more completely. my chest routine - 5x incline dumbbell press and 4x flat dumbbell flys = 9 ...
My gym has this chest press machine that lets you use a parallel grip, and one time when I was screwing around on it after hitting legs and I noticed that it didn't aggrevate my shoulder at all. Then yesterday, trying to test to see how my shoulder was doing, I tried doing some push ups. I could barely get to 30 doing it normally, but then I ...
go down to when ur lower head of your triceps are 90 degrees, then go back up.. if you go down further you have rotator cuffs to worry about, along with your front delts. 10-05-2008, 10:09 AM #6.
